WAYS WE STAY SAFE

  • I am certified in Pediatric CPR & First Aid through the Red Cross.

  • All items/props used are washed and/or sanitized before and after every session.

  • Non-washable items are sanitized in a medical-grade UV disinfectant cabinet, sanitized with a UV wand, and/or wiped down with sterilizing solution.

  • All backdrops and furniture are appropriately weighted for the safety of our little ones.

  • Hand sanitizer is available around the studio.

  • Immediately prior to client arrival, my hands are washed and my phone & camera are sanitized. Upon client arrival, I use hand sanitizer and request families do the same.

EXTRA NEWBORN PRECAUTIONS

Your newborn is the most important part of your world, but a delicate one. That’s why I’ve taken steps to further ensure their safety. Beyond the extensive cleaning regiments in place, we have also made the difficult decision to ask parents to stay out of the newborn area. By limiting traffic in this area, it allows us to have as sterile a space as possible. What goes on, how we do this, and how a session flows are all topics we discuss during our consultation.

Beyond keeping clean, I have taken a multitude of newborn safety courses, both from a health perspective and posing perspective. With my education, I also am a Stand-In Baby user. Stand-In Babies allow for consistent practice and training in posing newborns safely.

HOW ARE SESSIONS DIFFERENT NOW WITH COVID?

Sessions are scheduled to eliminate client overlap and allow for time to sanitize the studio before and after every client.

The studio has both a sanitizer cabinet and a UV sanitizing wand to keep our environment as safe as possible.

Parents are no longer allowed in the newborn area unless called to assist. Parents have many options for viewing the session, but for ALL my clients’ safety, we are eliminating most traffic to that area. This is discussed at your Newborn Consultation.

MASKS

Masks are required for every client upon entry. Obviously, masks will be taken off for pictures, but keeping them on as long as possible keeps everyone safe.

I will be wearing a mask or face shield at all times when I am with you.

With small children, I may use a face shield instead of a mask if you are comfortable with this. Face shields are a safe way to allow children to be more comfortable interacting with me.
